The Cypress Springs Mercedarian Prayer Center officially "Opened It's Door to Christ" in March, 2009. The Ministry Office was the first of three buildings to be completed. This Ministry Office is where Sister Dulce meets with the sick and dying and those searching to grow in their faith as well as in their relationship with God.
The Office also contains the Dolphin Room. This multipurpose room serves as the meeting place for these regularly scheduled events: Tuesday Rosary group, Men's Spirituality Class, and the Women's Spirituality Class. It is also used for retreats given by Sister Dulce, as well as special events such as, Open House, Children's Posada at Christmas, and the St. Joseph's Altar to name just a few. All of these events, give the Cypress Springs Mercedarian Prayer Center the opportunity to "Open It's Door to Christ" by providing interesting and educational events for continual spiritual growth for all who visit.
The second of three buildings is the Mercedarian Sisters of the Blessed Sacrament convent. Today, Sister Dulce and the other Sisters, occupy this new convent. The Mercedarians of the Blessed Sacrament are thankful and blessed to add this house in Baton Rouge, Louisiana to their many houses located throughout the world.
The most anticipated of the complex, is The Chapel of Divine Providence, a Mercedarian Private Chapel. In keeping with The Mercedarian's vow to spend time with Our Lord in adoration, the Sisters will have a beautiful facility in which to spend time with God in prayer. The Gift shop is also located within this chapel. You can visit the Gift Shop online.
